Celebrating excellence through storytelling for Asia Pacific Arts Awards

The Challenge

Creative Australia held the Asia Pacific Arts Awards to honour excellence and foster deeper engagement across creative and cultural communities spanning Australia, Asia, and the Pacific. 

CulturalPulse were engaged to celebrate the award recipients and tell their stories in a way that resonated with Australian diaspora and international audiences in South Asian, Southeast Asian and Pacific communities.

The Approach

  • Created and distributed media releases and emotive biographies of award winners, highlighting their cultural stories and their impact in the Australian art industry.
  • Profiling of recipients whose work reflects diverse cultural heritages, including: Bábbarra Women’s Centre & Tharangini Studio (Australia/India), Isabel and Alfredo Aquilizan (Philippines/Australia), Wantok Musik Foundation (Pacific), and PacifiqueX (Queer Pacific Islander advocacy).
  • Executed a highly targeted awareness campaign through CulturalPulse’s multicultural media network, ensuring authentic connection to communities and alignment with recipients’ cultural backgrounds.
